FAQs
Libby 101
What is Libby?
Libby is a Light + Bubbly wine made from sustainably farmed grapes grown in California. We make our wines with a minimalist intervention mindset that never compromises on flavor and liveliness. Did we also mention our process results in lower calories, lower ABV, gluten-free, vegan-friendly and non-GMO wines?
Why the name Libby?
We knew we had created the perfect wine that was both Light + Bubbly, so naturally Libby was born. Plus, we are tired of those traditional, boring naming conventions so we decided to mix it up and celebrate our mission of making wine a little more enjoyable, and hopefully fun, along the way!
How is Libby made?
We’ve spent 17 harvests in California honing our winemaking skills and amassing a trusted grower network. We start by selecting sustainably farmed grapes from our favorite regions in California. We ferment each of the wines separately and then tinker with the perfect proprietary blend. We stabilize and filter our wines for consistency and quality assurance. Then, we carefully blend in our bubbled water to bring each blend into harmony and balance, targeting our lower ABV (<8% alcohol by volume). Finally, we carbonate each blend to precise levels right before bottling.
What is Light + Bubbly wine?
Light + Bubbly wine is beautifully simple: light wine that has been supercharged by carbonation (aka, bubbles). We dial in our bubbles to enhance the aromas and flavors of our unique varietal blends. Traditional methods have handcuffs around everything from geography to grapes to process – we don’t play by those same rules. We have the distinct ability to guarantee consistency and quality across our wines – and this new playbook results in an entirely new drinking experience. You’re welcome!
Where are your grapes from?
California, baby. We partnered with a multi-generational family-owned winery committed to sustainable practices to source all of our grapes.
How should I store my Libby?
Libby is best served with a nice chill. We recommend unboxing, putting directly into the fridge / wine cooler. When dinner rolls around, pop the top and enjoy some Light + Bubbly wine!
Once opened, you will notice those beautiful bubbles starting to float away. Feel free to insert a stopper and refrigerate, but it’s best to consume within 2 days of opening.

How much alcohol is in a bottle of Libby?
Less alcohol doesn’t mean less fun (or even less flavor). Libby clocks in at or under 8% ABV (alcohol by volume). In comparison, most sparkling wines range from 11-14% ABV.
Is your Light + Bubbly wine vegan and gluten-free?
Always. It’s also free from artificial flavors, added sugars, and non-GMO.
How many calories are in each serving?
75-80 tiny calories per 5 oz serving depending on the blend. In comparison, most traditional wines range from 115 to who knows what depending on their level of alcohol and sugar content.
Do you add sugar?
Nope. Never. No way.
